Drug addiction is a scourge that has grappled a lot of people in the country. Worryingly, the number of people who are addicted to drugs is increasing at an alarming rate. This is a very huge number of deaths caused by drug abuse. Also, the statistic showed that young women aged between 18 years and 25 years were the ones who mostly abused cocaine.
In the United States, alcohol is another drug that is commonly used and abused. Alcohol has been shown to be among the leading causes of death in the country. The first being tobacco couple's with a poor lifestyle. A huge number of people have an alcohol abuse problem in the country, and the numbers are rising.
Medication that are prescribed are also another group of drugs that most people are addicted to. Most people presume that prescription drugs are not dangerous, hence they abuse it a lot. As such, you will find that these people destroy their lives through this.
Another common drug which most are addicted to are psychedelics. A few of the commonly used psychedelics are ecstasy and mushrooms. What psychedelics do is that they cause hallucinations to the user and can thus be dangerous.
